IAP/APA Acute Pancreatitis Guidelines Published

The evidence-based guidelines for the management of acute pancreatitis guidelines are now available. These are an update of the 2002 IAP Guidelines are a result of an international review group and one-day, interactive meeting held in conjunction with the 2012 APA/IAP joint meeting.

We appreciate all the support we receive from both our non-profit colleagues as well as corporate sponsors. This is critical to the continued success of APA. This support allows us to keep our meeting registration low, grant many travel awards for young investigators, which leads to increased attendance each year.

Pharmaceutical and equipment sponsors are especially appreciated and are encouraged to participate by providing displays and relevant information at our Annual Meeting. APA membership is varied and consists of basic scientists as well as medical and surgical pancreatologists, GI endoscopists, GI radiologists, and pathologists. The congenial atmosphere at the APA meeting provides plenty of time and opportunity for discussion of therapy-related issues between sessions.
