Pancreas is the official journal of the American Pancreatic Association. Pancreas provides a central forum for communication of original works involving both basic and clinical research on the exocrine and endocrine pancreas and their interrelationships and consequences in disease states. This multidisciplinary, international journal covers the whole spectrum of basic sciences, etiology, prevention, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and surgical and medical management of pancreatic diseases, including cancer.
APA Members receive free online access to Pancreas and discounted subscription rates for the hard copy of the journal.
Pancreapedia is an open access, on-line, knowledge base relating to the exocrine pancreas that is sponsored by the American Pancreatic Association. It includes up to date citable reviews, methods articles as well as containing a worldwide directory of pancreatologists. APA members are invited to both find and contribute information to the Pancreapedia. Please register and add yourself and your interests to the Directory.
2017 Pancreas Fellowship Opportunity
The Brenden-Colson Center for Pancreatic Care at Oregon Health & Science University is currently accepting applications for a training fellowship in pancreatic disease! The goal of this program is to assist in launching new careers, or new research directions, to advance the understanding of pancreatic biology, disease, and/or therapy. A summary of the fellowship is below.
Up to two fellowships will be awarded each year. Awards will provide $100,000 per year which can be applied toward salary, associated benefits, and/or for research support.
Each award is for 1-2 years based on training plan.
Applicants must have a research or health-professional doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M., D.O., Pharm.D., etc).
Eligibility is limited to researchers at the rank of post-doc, fellow, or within the first 2 years of an academic appointment such as instructor, research assistant professor, or assistant professor.
Candidates that have accepted a postdoctoral fellowship, K award, or career transition award are not eligible.
